Witch's Rock & Ollie's Point

You came to Costa Rica for the perfect wave and the ultimate surf experience. Well look no further than that little photo on the right. This all day trip is one that you will never forget. We meet at the shop first thing in the morning and take the Shuttle up to Playa del Coco from where we depart by boat. We will surf Witch’s Rock and its numerous peaks at high tide, and at low tide we will surf Ollie’s Point which breaks right with machine-like precision.

"Ollie's Point," is famous, not only for its fantastic waves, but as the favorite place for Oliver North's shipments to arrive on their way to Nicaragua during the war in the Eighties. It has a world class surf wave and is best for experienced surfers, although beginners can join in with some boogie boarding (even Kelly's mom loves boogie boarding at Ollie's Point).

Surf frequency is very consistent at approximately 150 days a year. The wave breaks right and the bottom is sandy with flat rocks. Wave varies from long (150 -300 m) to very long (300 to 500m). Swell starts working at 1.5m-2m /5ft-6ft and holds up to 5m / 16 ft and over.  Best at low and mid tide.

You can surf the main breaks of Tamarindo, Playa Grande, Playa Avellanas, Witch’s RockOllie’s Point, Langosta, Playa Negra and maybe a few “secret” spots.

	Transportation to and from the Liberia Airport. San Jose transfers also available for an additional fee. 7 Nights of accommodations Daily surf tours to the best locations available depending on swell size and weather conditions. Tamarindo is centrally located to 90% of the best breaks in Costa Rica. To name a few, Witchs Rock, Ollie's Point, Avellanas, Negra, Grande, and a few secret spots. 1 Boat Trip to the legendary Witchs Rock and Ollie's Point. These are the famous locations depicted in the file "Endless Summer II." Unlimited use of our large selection of surfboards. We have longboard, fun board, and shortboard styles. All boards are kept in good condition and dings are repaired right away to prevent water damage. All boards come equipped with FCS leashes and fins. We have boards available from shapers such as Robert August, Bear, Becker, McTabish, Orion, WRV, Surf Tech, as well as locally shaped boards. A snorkeling tour or estuary tour or you can just keep surfing on the daily surf tours.
